Default What to store my money in?

Well, I've maxed out both my Xunlai Accounts, but want to keep going, but dont have enough space. What is the best item to store all that cash in. I know ectos, zkeys, and lockpicks are common, but neither of them sound appealing because:

ectos keep jumping up and down in price, and its only a matter of time before a new SC is found, and they drop back to 4k

zkeys are hard to buy and sell for 5k, but they seem the most appealing to me right now

lockpicks are hard to sell

what are your thoughts?

zkeys will keep their price tag. with the XTH gone, they aren't going anywhere in price. they are also super easy to sell if you ever want to convert them. you could also buy a bunch of black dye lol. i would go with zkeys if you are anti-ecto.

Black & White Dyes seem fairly consistent.

The only reason to accumulate money is to buy expensive things with it. If there are things you want, buy them. If there aren't things you want, then why are you saving up money? I understand keeping some money around for when a new item pops up you didn't expect to want/need, but unless there are things you want/need to buy, there is no reason to keep storing money. Invest it in your guild/alliance, your HoM, or various titles. If you don't want to do that, then why are you saving money? Not like there will be new skills, armors, weapons, etc. added at this point in the games life, so anything currently available is all you have to choose from. MAY get a few new things, but not much, and not often.

Either spend the money, or stop saving it. That is my advice.

Agree with this in 100%.

IMO if you want to convert gold into item's start buying consets or only BUs. (Price of them is not changing , like ecto/zkeys price).

P.S. Don't even think about lockpicks , really hard to sell.

I agree with previous posters that black dye is the best option. It is worth the most so you will run out of space more slowly, and it is very stable in price. The only drawback is that it is pretty hard to buy and sell, but it doesn't seem like you're going to be selling them very often. I personally would choose z-keys because they are easy to sell(at least in my experience) and pretty stable, however, black dye seems like the best option for you.

Well, I am going to spend it once i get around to making more pve characters. I only have a two right now, and they have pretty much everything i want on them. so i was going to spend once i have some new characters to spend it on. the only reason im farming and not spending my money is that i found a farm that i think might get nerfed soon, and i want to abuse it while i can.

^ you should read before you respond, ectos are unstable in price, which is why op is not keen on stocking up on them.

i think you should buy rare items that will stay rare: ie r9 crystallines, dual mod low req shields, etc. etc.

Out of any of your options:

Zkeys are the most stable and you have a pretty high chance of keeping it at 5k per key.

The second part beyond stashing Zkeys is when you get to a decent amount of Zkeys, I would convert them to Ectos (if you watch the market and get them at the best deal for you) and purchase rare minis (naga, oni, rollerbeetle, yeti, etc etc).

That way not only are you storing cash, you've invested it into something that will appreciate in value.

ectos will NEVER go back down to 4k, they will only go up from here. Cons are due to be nerfed so they will be 40k/cons instead of 8k/cons so use ectos.

I would say zkeys because they are going to stay at 5k each since there is no more xth.

Isn't 5k pretty arbitrary to be some 'stuck' price? Or is that somehow related to the crap that comes out of the chest? Surely if less people want the zaishen title, or if less people are pvping the supply/demand can fluctuate.

Why not just spend it on something instead of keeping it.You never know when the servers could come down.

well, just to recap what you originally posted, You've already maxxed out your cash in storage and don't want to put all your future money into ecto's and want some new ideas.

After reading the previous posts, my only suggestion is start collecting armbraces. They're crazy expensive(100k+E's each), and stackable(250 armbraces=O.M.G.).
